Practical information

Meeting location: LUX

Astronomdagarna will be held in the auditorium in the LUX building at Helgonavägen 3.  

Note that initially the plan was to be in Lundmarksalen (Astronomy building) on Friday but this plan has now changed.  We will be in LUX for the entire conference. 

The conference dinner will be held at Vattenhallen Science Center, John Ericssons väg 1.

Hotels

You will need to arrange your own accommodation for the meeting.   You can find a selection of good hotels in Lund, including the following:  

Hotel Lundia: located downtown, roughly a 20 minute walk from the meeting site.

Transport

If you are planing catch a flight to the meeting, the nearest airports are Malmö Airport (MXX) and Copenhaguen Airport Kastrup (CPH).

If you are arriving by train then Lund Central Station, or Lund C, is the main railway station here in Lund.  It is located on the Southern Main Line and the West Coast Line.

From the train station you can either walk for 15-20 minutes or take bus number 7, which stops at busstop 'Lund Fysiologen' across the road from the Astronomy building.   Lund also has a tram line that goes north from the he train station.  The tram stops by LTH, only a short walk away from the Astronomy building and LUX.

The busses and trams in Lund are run by Skånetrafiken.  We recommend that you download and install their app before arriving in Lund.
